In-Kind Donation

Members donate seedlings they personally grew to wildfire-damaged sites

A wildfire in Uiseong and Andong, North Gyeongsang Province, devastated over 14,501 hectares of forest. Cooperatives from the Seoul metropolitan area and Yecheon have joined forces, with metropolitan members growing seedlings at home and supplying them to wildfire-affected areas to support ecological recovery.

Key Intervention Areas

  • Seed Kit Distribution — Crop-specific kits (seeds, seedlings, transplants, trays, etc.) are distributed to metropolitan cooperative members.
  • Home Cultivation — Members use surplus energy to germinate seeds and grow them to agreed sizes at home.
  • Seedling Supply — Carefully grown seedlings are shipped during designated periods to be sold or donated to wildfire-damaged areas in North Gyeongsang.
  • Cooperative Solidarity — Regional cooperatives unite to present a new model connecting urban resources to rural and forest recovery.
